I Give Up!

Josh has been going to preschool for a couple of months now...and since his 2nd week of school, has become obsessed with school buses. Making the 15 minute drive to his school and coming home, he points out to me EVERY bus. And usually when he points to a bus, he says "me". And to top it off, he has a toy bus he has to carry with him on his lap on the way to school. See what I mean...completely obsessed! So with only 4 weeks of school left, I finally gave in and beginning last Monday, allowed the bus to pick him and and bring him home (it's at my doorstep). It was heart wrenching the first day -- but he is SOOOO EXCITED. Loves it....and I'm just discovering what to do with all this free time at home -- for the time being, it's been helping a friend pack up her scrapbooking store, and laundry laundry laundry. Can't wait to see what next week brings!

Being a bus driver, I can assure you Josh is in the best of care and is safer on the bus than in a personal car. But as I a mom I understand, at how hard it is seeing him go on his own.

Josh you a BIG KID now,,

How absolutely precious!! I can only imagine how heart wrenching it was to send him off that first day. I think I would have had a breakdown! That's so cool that he loves it so much!

He DOES look so proud...but he also looks so LITTLE...at least to his Grammie. Sigh! Ok, I'm glad he got to ride the bus.

It's so hard to let your kids leave on a bus when they are so young but they feel so grown-up! Hey - where's MAY???
